The Cotswolds are known around the world for its beautiful classic English countryside, designated by the British government as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The area is bounded by Bath, Stratford-upon-Avon, and Oxford, stretching across 790 square miles. (Cotswold countryside © Gary Johnson). Of the nearly 800 square miles of the Cotswolds, roughly 80% is farmland. There are over 3,000 miles of footpaths and bridleways. Cotswold Lavender is a third-generation family farm set in the heart of the beautiful Cotswold Hills overlooking Broadway and the Vale of Evesham. The therapeutic qualities of lavender oil date back thousands of years and in the 19th century the antibacterial properties of lavender oil were recognised. Lavender oil is believed to offer solutions for countless conditions including insomnia, congestion, skin problems and stress. You can see more information and photographs about the Cotswolds here:
